UFMG appears in fifth position in Latin America, with 345 scientists among the 10,000 most productive and influential, and is among the eight best ranked universities in the BRICS countries (bloc that brings together Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa ), with 150 researchers among the 10,000 with the highest productivity and greatest impact, according to the AD Scientific Index 2021.
Professor Frederico G. Guimarães appears in this ranking among the most productive and influential at UFMG.
